I know we are shy of President Trump’s first one hundred days in office. But, I’ll grade President Trump’s first report card. He certainly came out swinging by delivering on his campaign promises. Let’s see how he is doing.
Inflation
Trump gets a “C” on inflation. Nice job on gas and eggs. But, I went grocery shopping the other day and paid $145 for about five bags of groceries. That’s $29 per plastic bag. I know it’s going to take time, but there must be something Trump can do to ease the pain in the meantime.
Immigration
Trump gets an “A-” on immigration. The border is like a ghost town and he started building more wall. Tom Homan and ICE are doing a good job tracking down and arresting dangerous illegal aliens. There are two things that lowered this grade. First, I’m disappointed in the number of illegal aliens that have been arrested and deported. Second, Judge Boasberg has slowed down and/or halted deportations. Trump’s team or the House of Representatives need to put an end to this crooked judge.
President Trump knew something that we all didn’t. Kristi Noem has been amazing as Secretary of Homeland Security. In fact, she is one of my favorite cabinet members. Just compare her to Alejandro Mayorkas. Say no more.
Epstein Files
Trump gets an “I” on the Epstein files. “I” means incomplete. The initial file drop was a disaster. Now, we wait until the “real” drop. But, somehow it is out of the public eye now. My spider senses tell me that there is something in those files that they don’t want us to know about. This could go from an “I” to a “F” real fast.
JFK Files
Trump gets a “D” on the JFK files. I haven’t read one good news post about the files. That tells me that there is nothing of interest. Why in the heck did the government hide this from us for so long?
Cabinet Picks
Trump gets an “A+” for his cabinet picks. Every one of them is a homerun. I already mentioned Kristi Noem, but Marco Rubio is also killing it. This is a “Dream Team.” How do I know this? Because the Democrats are in a perpetual frenzy.
Gender
Trump gets an “A” for gender. I choked up with tears when Trump told the world that there are two sexes – male and female. Then, I applauded when Trump signed his executive order banning men from women’s sports. I loved his confrontation with the uneducated governor of Maine. Finally, banning transgender people from the military.
It befuddles me that a president has to do these things. The executive order should have been titled “Common Sense.” Trump does have some more work to do here. Once again, non-elected federal judges are hindering him.
DOGE
Trump gets a “B+” for DOGE. It is astonishing what the DOGE team has uncovered in some 75 days. This is a difference maker. If they continue doing what they’re doing, they are going to save Americans billions of dollars. The Democrats may not like it, but I appreciate it. In my eyes, it appears that DOGE has been slowed down. And, Trump isn’t talking about it as much anymore. He has to get the train rolling again.
Ukraine
Trump gets a “B” for Ukraine. He is trying hard, but Zelensky is a loose cannon. And, Putin is not being as reasonable as I thought he would. Trump said he would have this resolved on his first day, but he sure didn’t deliver on that promise. I think he thought that Zelensky and Putin would be more willing to negotiate. And, I don’t think he anticipated what a mess Biden made of this conflict.
Israel
Trump gets a “C” for the conflict in Israel. Although he would like to broker peace in Israel, he is facing a prime minister that only cares about his legacy. Israel is attacking Palestine. Hamas is hiding under schools and hospitals in Palestine. The Houthis are bombing trade ships. We are bombing the Houthis for attacking our ships. Trump has his hands full with this mess.
Tariffs
Trump gets an “A+” for tariffs. It is about time that the United States puts tariffs on other countries that are robbing us blind through their tariffs. Tariffs can eliminate all of the federal taxes we pay. How do I know Trump is doing the right thing? Because the Democrats are literally pulling their hair out. The Democrats want us to pay taxes so they can launder it back to themselves.
Conclusion
Tallying the grades, Trump ends up with a “B+” for his first report card. That’s a pretty good score for about seven weeks of effort. Some of his grades aren’t necessarily his fault. But, he needs to do whatever it takes to get his agenda back moving. And, he needs to unleash DOGE more.
